Terms of participation

Read this before you register. It sets out what we ask of you, what we hold, and what becomes public. If any part of it does not sit right with you, do not register — write to us instead.

Who this is for

AGDEN-e is recruiting qualified physicians to help design and validate a 90-day emergency nursing curriculum for Afghan women. We are looking for a few hundred verified doctors, not thousands of anonymous responses. Every person who votes on curriculum content is named, credentialed, and accountable for their recommendation.

You do not need experience in Afghanistan. You need a current medical qualification and a willingness to put your name to your clinical judgement.

What we ask of you

  • Your real name, as it appears on your medical registration.
  • The country you practise in.
  • Your medical licence or registration number, and the body that issued it.
  • Your current institution or practice.
  • An email address we can reach you at.

We verify each registration before you are given a vote. Verification is done by a person, not automatically, and it may take several days.

What becomes public

If you agree to be listed, two things appear on the published curriculum record:

  • Your name.
  • Your country.

Nothing else is ever published. Not your email address, not your city, not your home or practice address, not your licence number, not your institution.

The published list exists so that the finished curriculum can be read alongside the names of the clinicians who shaped it. That is what makes it credible to a training partner, a ministry, or a funder.

Listing is required to vote

You may register without agreeing to be listed. You will not be able to vote on curriculum content.

This is deliberate. A curriculum that will be taught to nurses working without supervision, in a setting where a mistake costs a life, should not be assembled from anonymous input. If your name is attached to a recommendation, you have a reason to be careful with it. We would rather have five hundred doctors who stand behind their answers than five thousand who do not.

You can withdraw your name from the public list at any time by writing to us. If you withdraw before a campaign closes, your votes are removed with it.

Deletion runs on a schedule, not on request only. You can also ask us to erase your record at any point and we will do it.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for and will not accept identity documents, passport or government ID scans, home addresses, or video through this website. If verification requires sight of a document, that is arranged directly with the AGDEN-e team and nothing is uploaded or stored here.

We do not collect anything at all from students through this website. Student participation is arranged through partner organisations with their own protection protocols.

What we will not do

  • We will not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
  • We will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
  • We will not use your name in fundraising or promotional material without asking you first.
  • We will not publish anything about you beyond your name and country.

Honest limits

AGDEN-e is a volunteer initiative, not an incorporated organisation, and this site is run by a small team on standard commercial hosting. We hold as little as possible precisely because we cannot promise the security of a large institution. If that is not a standard you are comfortable with, we would rather you did not register.
